Lerum goes over to Koha - imCode with subsidiary Libriotech gets the assignment

Lerum has commissioned the Gotland company imCode Partner AB and its Norwegian subsidiary Libriotech to implement the Koha open library system in the town's public and school libraries.

Transition to an open and flexible system

Koha continues to grow and Lerum is next in line to implement the system in its operations. The implementation will give the customer great possibilities to adapt the library system to the needs of the activities, including by splitting it into two different databases.

The assignment includes the migration of all school and public libraries as well as the installation, operation and support of Koha. In addition, the public libraries will be connected to the LOTS package solution with a new, fresh web and the VuFind discovery system.

By choosing an open system, Lerum will be able to share developments and ideas with other users of the system, which in turn keeps costs down and discourages lock-in behind expensive licensing costs.

Welcome Lerum!
