A new district
The Municipality of Sölvesborgs has launched a new website that describes "Ljungaviken", a new part of the city to be built east of central Sölvesborg and east of Sölvesborg bay. The website contains all information about the new district, and also an opportunity to show interest and order more materials.
Ljungaviken has been inhabited for at least 8000 years. Right now an archaeological survey of the coming main street is being conducted. Two settlements from the Stone Age show that people lived in this area more than 6000 years ago. Findings in other city parts indicate that there are 8000 years old settlements.
